STILL GOING STRONG AND GETTING BIGGER

Walking Football is still going from strength to strength at the Soccer Dome in Seacombe. Since the move from Soccerloco 12 weeks ago, sessions have been a great success, with improved coaching techniques by Sarah & Ale (for those interested), extra game time, quality refereeing, new members and a set of rules that everyone understands. Add to that your free cuppa at the end of the session plus 50p for a BBB or BSB (Becky's Bacon Butty or Sausage Butty) and it all goes to show what great value playing your walking football at the Soccer Dome is.
Plus 2 more competitions in November and December, a Christmas Party Night and possibly a quiz night.

Every Monday and Wednesday 10.00 - 11.30 ish (9.30am for coaching).

Not been before ? - contact me on here for a meet and greet.

For further copies and more information contact Andy Jones via his Facebook page. Pink Moon Records deal in records, CDs & tapes from all eras & genres.

Plus some more pictures from the weekend.

Plus a nice relaxing drink afterwards.

CHESHIRE F.A. WALKING FOOTBALL FESTIVAL

Saturday 6th August 2016 saw Wirral Walking Football play in their first competition as Wallasey Soccer Dome using a squad of only 8 players (mainly due to seasonal holidays).

After a rather shaky start in the league stage, not helped by our two goalkeepers getting stuck in traffic and one of our defenders feeling the reactions of a heavy cold, we eventually made it to the Plate semi-final to face Helsby Old Boys. After taking the lead early on we were pulled back by an extremely fluke goal. We eventually lost 2 - 1 but had a good few chances, and played very well considering the hot conditions on the day.

WIRRAL WALKING FOOTBALL HAS A NEW HOME

Due to the sad news that Soccerloco is closing down, Wirral Walking Football Club has been offered the chance to re-locate at The Soccer Dome, 132 Birkenhead Road, Seacombe, Wirral. CH44 7BZ. This fabulous facility boasts 3 indoor 3G astro pitches, private changing rooms, motion censored showers, underfloor heating, refreshments bar and ample car parking. The venue is located between the Four Bridges and Seacombe Ferry and is easily accessible by road and public transport (buses 409, 411 and 423 go right past the door).

The cost of playing will still be £2.00 per person and will include a free cup of tea.

Sessions will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11am - midday and Fridays 7 - 8pm. The first walking football session will take place on the evening of Friday 15th July 2016 and thereafter every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Please feel free to visit the location beforehand and have a look around - just mention Wirral Walking Football at reception.

SOCCERLOCO CLOSING DOWN

On Wednesday last Wirral Walking Football Club was given the sad news that Soccerloco is ceasing to trade and will be closing down at the end of July. We would like to thank Paul, Sam and all the other staff for their help in promoting Wirral Walking Football Club and we wish them every success for the future. We have enjoyed our time there and have made many new friends.

However, all is not doom and gloom. We have already secured another indoor venue with 3g astro pitches on the Wirral and we will post more details on here in the near future.

Therefore our last session at Soccerloco will be on Wednesday 13th July 2016 between 10-11am.
